Extend your students' learning experience

Teachers play an integral role in the Shares4Schools competition, particularly at the start when students require support and guidance.

As the competition evolves, however, teachers often find students get more enthusiastic about their shares. As a result teachers' involvement is reduced; that is unless you want to remain an active member of the team!

Many teachers find Shares4Schools is a great way to bring subjects such as Economics and Business Studies to life by integrating the competition into lessons.

An authorised representative

Under The Share Centre's Terms of Business, individuals under 18 years of age can't open an account with The Share Centre. While it is important decisions relating to investments are made by students, trading shares in the competition must be done by a teacher or other adult, who acts as an authorised representative.

It is recommended each team has two authorised representatives who are able to execute deals. Trading shares is done through a dedicated Shares4Schools account and takes just a few minutes.
